Job fair Feb. 20 in Bangor

BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor CareerCenter, in conjunction with Eastern Maine Community College, Bangor Daily News, Cianbro, Eastern Maine Development Corp. and the Maine Department of Labor, will be hosting a job fair 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Maine Hall on the EMCC campus, 354 Hogan Road.

“Our economic indicators tell us that Maine employers are hiring, and this job fair in Bangor is testimony to that,” said Gov. Paul R. LePage in a press release. “We encourage anyone who is looking for work or considering making a career change to come out, meet employers and learn what the area has to offer.”

Attendees should bring a resume and, more important, should be prepared to have an “interview-like” conversation with employers to discuss skills, knowledge areas and abilities.
