STATEWIDE, Maine — Hannah Pingree, former Speaker of the House, is a ”Healthy Child Healthy World Mom on a Mission” finalist.

“Mom on a Mission” is celebrating its fourth year and recognizes special and inspiring American parents who are dedicated to creating healthier and happier environments for children and families – no one can do everything, but everyone can do something.

She has gone above and beyond not only for her family but for her community.  She was able to work pro-actively on regulation to limit toxic chemicals and convinced her fellow lawmakers that choosing between the chemical industry and kids’ health was a no-brainer.
