CUSHING, Maine — Georges River Land Trust will sponsor a Halloween “Spooktacular” event at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. Guests will be treated to dinner, dancing, ghost stories in the moonlight, tricks and treats. Tickets are $40 Land Trust members, $45 others. Tickets must be purchased in advance at www.grlt.org/revelryevents.
The party will be hosted by Bob and Karin Weisert at their home on the shore of the Georges River in Cushing. Views before dark include a property conserved by the Land Trust where herons roost, and views after dark are only for the strong of heart. A secret tour will give guests that special “hallow-eened” experience. Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded. Flashlights are a good idea.
