PORTLAND, Maine — Hall Internet Marketing’s president, Tom Hall, has been recognized as one of the 10 people shaping the future of Maine’s economy on the Mainebiz 2013 Next List. Hall was chosen for this year’s list because of his contribution to Maine’s business community through his own company, Hall Internet Marketing, and the creation of the Casco Bay Technology Hub. Hall’s Maine internet marketing firm, continues to experience growth due to an increase in demand for its premium web marketing services for larger online retailers.
Hall created the Casco Bay Technology Hub with three other entrepreneurs to unite and support the Maine tech sector and entrepreneurial community. “We want people to get past that superficial networking crap and really be able to exchange ideas — not worry that someone is going to come up to them and say, ‘So, are you happy with your phone service?’,” says Hall. The growth of these monthly events is now drawing 80 to 100 attendees who gather to hear from inspiring entrepreneurs like Bob Neveu, Jason Cianchette and former CashStar president, David Stone.
The Mainebiz Next List is published every year to offer readers an inside look at the most innovative business people in Maine. The list consists of 10 people thought to influence the future of Maine’s economy. After a nomination period, research and vetting, Mainebiz selects ten people to receive the years honors. Honorees will be celebrated at a special reception on November 12th.
