Governor to address Maine Wood Products Association meeting

HALLOWELL, Maine — Maine Gov. Paul LePage will deliver the Keynote Address to the 2013 Maine Wood Products Association’s annual meeting Friday, Jan. 11,  at Maple Hill Farm Inn and Conference Center in Hallowell.

The governor’s speech will highlight the daylong meeting which includes educational events and networking opportunities for wood products manufacturing company managers from across Maine.

The meeting also will feature Jeff Howe of Dovetail Partners Inc. speaking on “Creating a Culture of Accountability.”

Other topics will include an update on Maine’s wood and fiber supply from the Maine Forest Service, “How the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Affects Your Business” and the traditional Industry Roll Call where participants have the opportunity to bring to the floor issues they feel are important to the industry.

The meeting is open to anyone interested in the wood products manufacturing industry. Seating is limited and there is a $50 registration fee which includes meals and the evening social hour.
