DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — Maine Country Music Hall of Fame members Flo and Sharlene Hooper headline a special daylong event devoted to gospel singing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Saturday, Aug. 18, at Hutchins Hall, 21 Pleasant St.

Lauralyn Buie of Buie School of Music and The Community Gospel Choir of Maine invite the public to attend a day of  southern-style “singing”, which includes a potluck dinner.  Singers, performers and members of the public are invited to bring a potluck dish and join in the festivities. Beverages will be provided.

The event is free and open to the public.
