Gallery to feature painting of land, people of Maine

BANGOR, Maine – The Robert E. White Gallery at Husson University will present the work of Maine artist Ed Nadeau through Oct. 25.  An artist’s reception will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the gallery.

Nadeau is a native of Maine whose paintings depict the land and people of his home state in various incarnations. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in painting and from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1986 with a master’s degree in painting.

Assistant professor Nadeau teaches 2d-design, painting and drawing at the University of Maine.

His paintings have been exhibited at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Maryland Art Place, School 33 Art Center, the Park School, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport, the University of Maine, Whitney Art Works in Portland, and the Drawing Center, New York City.
