BANGOR, Maine — Fusion Bangor will host its annual Awards Ceremony 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in a heated tent on the Bangor waterfront. The ceremony is returning after a five-year hiatus.

The ceremony will recognize individuals, businesses and organizations that have made an impact on the Bangor Region. It also will serve as a social and networking event of the year.

Local business Sweetest Thing will design and orchestrate the event, which will be marked by bright colors, fun food, a live band, dancing and free champagne.

Lead sponsor for the event is Bangor Federal Credit Union.

The awards presented at the ceremony will be:

* The Fusion Leadership and Vision Award to recognize an individual, organization or business that promotes the common good of young people in the Bangor Region.

* The Downtown Proud Vitalization Award to recognize an individual, organization or business that promotes and advocates for downtown vitality and attractiveness.

* The Innovator of the Year Award to recognize an individual whose innovative and creative work has significantly impacted the Bangor Region.
