PASSADUMKEAG, Maine — The 1837 Foundation of Northern Maine, an affiliate of the Passadumkeag Historical Society, will hold a silent auction and fundraiser bazaar 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, and at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Passadumkeag Community Center, Pleasant Street, next to the Fire Station.
The silent auction will be held 3-4 p.m. Saturday.
February 19 is the anniversary of the date of General Order No. 7 and the Aroostook War expeditionary militia. Money from the fundraiser will be used to purchase markers for the soldiers and militia of the Aroostook War.
The 1837 Foundation’s goal is to make the Passadumkeag park an official rest stop on the proposed Aroostook Trail.
