Fright Night at the library

BLUE HILL, Maine — Children and their families are invited to join Pat Horton for a scary movie, “Godzilla,” at 7 p.m. Friday, July 13, at the Blue Hill Public Library. Free popcorn will be served.

The 1998 version of Godzilla stars Matthew Broderick as the research scientist, Niko Tatopolous, who is called in to investigate the matter of an unknown creature spotted at the Panama Canal. He quickly realizes that a giant, irradiated lizard has been created by explosions created by French atomic bomb-testing in the Pacific. Godzilla then makes its way north, landing at Manhattan to begin wreaking havoc in New York, and the combined forces of the U.S. Military are called in to battle the creature.

The event is free and open to the public. For information call Pat at 207-374-5515.
