BANGOR, Maine – The Fifth Annual Bangor Walk to Defeat ALS will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at Hayford Park, 13th Street with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. followed by the walk at 10 a.m.
Walk organizers hope to reach a goal of 400 walkers collecting a total of $55,000, in an effort to raise awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Dr. Greg Cox and Dr. Cathy Lutz, also of The Jackson Laboratory, will be guest speakers at the Saturday fundraising event.
