PORTLAND, Maine – Weather permitting, crews will continue pavement upgrades next week to the Exit 45 (Maine Mall Road) interchange. The temporary closures are scheduled at night to minimize impact to traffic. All times are approximate.
On Sunday evening, June 16, the Exit 45 (Maine Mall Road/Payne Road) northbound on-ramp and southbound on-ramp for traffic entering the Turnpike will be closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday.
Portable electronic message boards are in place near the work areas to alert drivers of the ramp closures.
Turnpike travelers can expect additional ramp closures throughout the week at Exit 42 (Scarborough) and Exit 45 (Maine Mall Road). Motorists can check MaineTurnpike.com, or call 800-675-PIKE (7453), for updated information. Updated schedules will also be available by following the MTA on Facebook or Twitter.
