BAR HARBOR, Maine — Maine Foodie Tours is delighted to announce it has begun offering culinary tours in Bar Harbor on June 8.
Maine Foodie Tours offers a unique touring and tasting experience. The new Culinary Walking Tour in Bar Harbor will embark guests on a leisurely stroll around the Village Green, stopping at key locations to sample delicious and imaginative local cuisine, while learning a bit about the history of Bar Harbor and the origins of Maine-inspired foods. Led by energetic tour guides, these outings are informative, delicious and a whole lot of fun. The manager and first tour guide is Lynne Williams, a local who is heavily involved in her community.
“Bar Harbor is definitely emerging as a foodie destination,” says owner, Pamela Laskey. “This breathtakingly beautiful town has an eclectic and fascinating history and boasts award-winning restaurants and many creative culinary artisans – the key ingredients for a culinary tour.”
MFT will also offer Pops, Pirates and Pubs, a Bar Harbor pub crawl, taking visitors to local restaurants to sample creative cocktails and delectable regionally-inspired accompaniments, along with a healthy helping of local history and lore.
“Residents and visitors alike will enjoy our tours, notes Laskey. “Our guides are highly knowledgeable about the area and the proprietors are gracious, welcoming hosts.
There’s so much to learn and savor in Bar Harbor, and a culinary tour is a delicious and fun way to drink it all in – we hope to see you this summer!”
