SOUTH BRISTOL, Maine — Salt Bay Chamberfest will hold its annual Benefit Concert from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at a private home on the tidal Damariscotta River in So. Bristol.
The concert will raise funds for its August chamber music festival, Time Passing.
This year’s performers will be composer Derek Bermel, clarinet; and Wilhelmina Smith, cello, the Founder and Artistic Director and of Salt Bay Chamberfest. The two plan a lively program of solo and ensemble pieces, including some of Bermel’s original compositions.
Red Plate Catering provides the hors d’oeuvres as a gift to Salt Bay Chamberfest. There is also a selection of white wines and fruit drinks to enjoy. Benefit concert tickets are $150 per person, with all but $25 of the ticket price a tax-deductible contribution in support of the upcoming Festival.
