CAMDEN, Maine — The semi-annual Cash for Clothes Sale to benefit Coastal Opportunities will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, through Monday, Oct. 22, at the American Legion Hall on Pearl Street.
Coastal Opportunities provides services to autistic or developmentally disabled adults in the Knox County area.
If you wish to sell clothing at the sale, you must register in advance. Clothing will be sold on a 50/50 basis, with half of the profit going to the seller, and half to Coastal Opportunities.
Only good quality fall and winter clothing will be accepted for the sale. You will register your name and address, be given identification tags, lists for clothing and instruction sheets. Do not bring clothing at the time of registration unless you wish to donate clothes to the workshop.
Cash for Clothes registration will be held 4-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 and Oct. 13, at Coastal Opportunities on 35 Limerock St.
Clothing items from any season will happily be accepted as donations for the sale at Coastal Opportunities any time during the year.
If you wish to donate the proceeds from the sale of your clothing to Coastal Opportunities, you do not need to register. Simply take your clothing to Coastal Opportunities any time before the sale. Volunteers will tag and price the clothing for you.
Cash for Clothes welcomes new volunteers to work on various aspects of the sale before and during the sale. Volunteers who work four or more hours qualify to attend the Cash for Clothes Pre-Sale. To learn more about volunteering at the sale, call Nancy Wolfertz at 207-594-5429.
