Canaan to hold festival

CANAAN, Maine — The Common Threads Festival will be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 12-14, at the Farmers Hall.

The schedule is:

Friday, Oct. 12

Noon-5 p.m., 100 for $100 Art Show and Postcards of Maine Quilt Show.

7, Anadromous fish restoration talk.

Saturday, Oct. 13

9 a.m., Farmers appreciation breakfast.

Noon-5 p.m. Art show and quilt show.

1-3 p.m., cider pressing. Bring apples to share.

1-3 p.m. Pumpkin Contest turn-in, carved, cut or painted. Prizes awarded.

6 p.m. Harvest dinner. The cost is $8.

Sunday, Oct. 14

10 a.m.Walk the new trail at Canaan’s new park. Meet at the Town Hall.

Noon-4 p.m., Art show and quilt show.

3-7 p.m. Celebration for Ray Small at the fire department.
