Press Release

Calling all musicians, it’s too muddy to study!

The snow is melting, then freezing, then falling, then melting again, then freezing, then melting… You get the picture… It’s mud season! And with mud season upon us the Down East AIDS Network gears up for its winter/spring fundraising event this April.

The Mud Season Mash-Up will feature up to 10 local musical artists facing off in a battle of the bands for the chance to spend some serious time in an audio studio recording their very own album. You could be one of the few lucky artists to participate!

Participating artists will compete before the judges and a live audience for free studio time courtesy of the New England School of Communications. Each musical act will have 20 minutes to strut their stuff and impress the audience.

All proceeds benefit the Down East AIDS Network, a nonprofit community based organization dedicated to preventing HIV and Hepatitis C and promoting health and health equity among marginalized communities.

Artists are asked to apply through the Down East AIDS Network. To apply email info@downeastaidsnetwork.org or call (207) 667-3506 or visit http:// http://www.downeastaidsnetwork.org/events.php. To apply online go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MSMU. Applications are due by March 31. Bands/artists that are selected to compete will be expected to pay a $25 registration fee.
