The Maine Wedding Company announced Tuesday that the winners of the MWC Call To the County Contest are: The Crow’s Nest Restaurant and Event Center, DJ Jake Ball, Pancsofar’s Bridal Boutique and High Tech Entertainment.
Only three memberships were to be awarded, but due to high reader involvement online, the MWC honored four outstanding businesses who serve Aroostook County with the scholarship.
Each winner received a year-long $350 MWC membership and directory listing on the MWC website with lead service, as well as a listing on The Maine Wedding App.
MWC started the contest to encourage more readership and involvement in the Aroostook area.
“The contest was our way to celebrate a beautiful destination wedding location in Maine that is often overlooked,” said Beth Fitzgerald, MWC owner.
In May, The Maine Wedding Company, Maine’s largest online wedding publication, announced the contest. Nominees were requested on the MWC Facebook page from May 6 through May 24. All nominees had to reside in Aroostook County, be a venue or store with a physical address in Aroostook County or prove regular travel to Aroostook County for wedding-related services.
Readers voted on a set of finalists through June 3 — also on the MWC Facebook page.
“It was so much fun to see the readers get so fired up about the businesses in the area that they love. We were thrilled with the voting. It was by far one of the best contest we’ve done for our readers and our Maine wedding industry,” said Fitzgerald.
Winners will be spotlighted throughout the month of June on the MWC website located at http://www.maineweddingguide.com.
