LEWISTON, Maine — After a soft opening in late August, representatives from Café Bread Shack, a locally owned and operated award-winning bakery, will celebrate the official grand opening of their second location in the Twin Cities with a ribbon cutting ceremony 11 a.m.-noon Thursday, Oct. 3, in downtown Lewiston, at 97 Lisbon St.
Owner Dara Reimers, a participant in various high-level international events and winner of numerous awards including serving as a member of the 2008 TeamUSA group that won the Bread Bakers Guild of America National Title in Artistic Design in France; a 2011 coach of the United States Baking team that topped 11 countries in the Sigep Bread Cup in Italy; and a graduate of the inaugural class of the Notter School of Pastry Arts in Florida founded by World Champion Pastry Chef Ewald Notter, will celebrate the official grand opening of her second location in downtown Lewiston.
Reimers, City of Lewiston Mayor Robert Macdonald, Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce President Chip Morrison, City of Lewiston officials, City of Auburn officials, friends and customers are expected to attend. Refreshments will be provided.
Opened in 2013 and located at 97 Lisbon St. in Lewiston, Café Bread Shack is the second location for the growing baker. Specializing in fine coffee, artisan breads, pastries, sandwiches, salads, breakfast and light lunch options, the café provides 30 indoor seats and another eight outside. Proud to support local farmers and producers, Café Bread Shack uses local as much as possible.
