Bridge in Milo temporarily closed

MILO, Maine — Crews will replace the existing deteriorated concrete bridge deck on the Pleasant River Bridge in Milo, which spans the Pleasant River.

The project will necessitate the closure of the bridge for approximately 35 consecutive days beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4. In addition, there will be curb and guardrail improvements.

Traffic will be detoured to Route 11 north onto Stickney Hill Road in Brownville, Maine.  Motorists will proceed to the Stanchfield Ridge Road back to Milo, then to the Lakeview Road.

It is anticipated the project will be completed in the second week of October.
