Author to speak about new biography

DRESDEN, Maine — The Lincoln County Historical Association has announced that James Leamon will officially release his newly published biography, ‘The Reverend Jacob Bailey, Maine Loyalist: For God, King, Country, and for Self” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Pownalborough Court House, in the room where the Rev. Bailey often preached.

The author will give a free public talk about this local Loyalist caught in the upheaval of the American Revolution. Leamon will then sign copies of his book as offered for sale by LCHA. All profits will go towards Court House repairs.
