AUGUSTA, Maine — The Viles Arboretum, 153 Hospital St., will host a Civil War encampment 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the arboretum. The 20th Maine Volunteer Infantry  will fire guns and conduct drills at the event. Maine Public Broadcasting will be filming a documentary during the encampment.

Admission is $3 and lunches served for a small fee. Golf cart transport will be available for those needing a ride to the encampment.

The arboretum gift shop, featuring bird feeders, will be set up on the lawn in front of the visitors center.
