READING MAKES A WINNER

The Simpson Memorial Library announced that Pammy Megquier of Carmel is the winner of the Adult Summer Read drawing. The reading game, The Gold Fish Bowl, introduced readers to different genres. The object of the game was to read 10 books that were selected by drawing a card from the Gold Fish Bowl. The card gave the genre of a book but not a specific title. The patron would select a book from that genre. Then place the genre card in the Fishing Creel. Genres included biographies, young adult fiction, children’s books, mysteries, romance, science fiction, fantasy, westerns, suspense and wholesome (Christian).

When asked how she liked the game, Pammy replied, “It was fun.” Pammy now has some young adult authors she likes and Maine author, Tess Gerritsen.

Pammy received a cat tote bag containng gifts including the new Tess Gerritsen book and chocolates.
