DENNYSVILLE, Maine — Free computer classes, with an emphasis on individual learning, will be offered 5:30-7 p.m. beginning Monday, Sept. 24, at Lincoln Memorial Library.
After the first class, the time of subsequent sessions may be adjusted according to the need of the participants.
Instructor Jane Blackwood will focus on basic computer skills, but can respond to the individual interests of attendees.
Blackwood, a former seventh-grade teacher of many years, is employed by Axiom Technologies and charged with developing computer training opportunities for the people of Washington County, who were in school before the arrival of computers as part of school programs.
Participants should bring their own laptop, although the library has some computers for public use.
