BELFAST, Maine —The next session of the University of Maine Hutchinson Center Nonprofit Management Certificate program, Financial Management in the Nonprofit Organization, will convene 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, July 20, at the Hutchinson Center. Areas to be covered in this workshop will include approaches to budgeting, necessary recordkeeping, monitoring cash flow, understanding the balance sheet, and segregating duties in a small office (safeguarding assets). Chip Bradstreet will conduct the workshop.
Upon completion of six of the workshops that comprise the program, individuals will earn a certificate in Non-Profit Organization Management from the University of Maine Hutchinson Center. The remaining 2012 Nonprofit Management sessions offered Aug. 13-14, Writing Winning Grant Proposals; Sept. 7. Survival Skills in an Age of Declining Resources; and Oct. 22, Marketing the Nonprofit Organization. The cost for each one-day workshop is $150. The two-day grantwriting workshop is $255. Each workshop fee will include continental breakfast, lunch and all workshop materials.
