Two students at the New York University College of Dentistry work on Keaghan Castleberry, 7, of Cherryfield, at the week-long dental outreach program being held this week at Machias. The four-year program is bringing all forms of dental care and maintenance to Washington County residents that do not have a local dentist. People were lined up outside the door on Monday, the first day of the clinic, and 83 children and 40 adults received treatment. "Some people drove three to four hours to receive treatment," Dr. Amr Mouris, the head of NYU's Department of Pediatric Dentistry said. "These parents are really eager to learn what to do to maintain good oral health." As for Castleberry, after his treatment he said simply "They were really nice."
