At Dyer Brook, No. 8 Woodland capitalized on nine walks committed by No. 1 Southern Aroostook and jumped out to an early 13-1 lead after three innings en route to the Class D quarterfinal upset.

Leading the Dragons’ offense was Chad Gagner with a double and single with three RBIs. Devonte Stevens single twice and CJ Brown added a two-run single for Woodland (11-7).

For the Warriors (14-2), Trent Cullinan added two doubles and a single. Will McGary, Gage Lefay and Nate Lilley each singled three times.
