Woodland Softball 2 at Penobscot Valley 6

At Howland, Kayla Dube fashioned a six-hitter and racked up 18 strikeouts to propel the third-seeded Howlers into the semifinals.
Reese Leonard’s three-run triple in the sixth inning broke open a one-run game. Leonard also had a double and finished with four RBIs. Shawlyn Jones chipped in with two singles for 16-1 Penobscot Valley.
Taylor Cochran had a double and single to lead No. 6 Woodland (9-9). Jordan Metta added a double for the Dragons.
