At Howland, Amy Hallett’s second-half shot from just outside the 18-yard box proved to be the game-winner for the fourth-ranked Howlers (14-1) in the Eastern Maine Class D prelim.

Both teams battled to a scoreless first half on a windy day at Lovett Field. PVHS had several offensive attacks but Wisdom refused to give any ground on defense.

PVHS goalkeeper Sami Ireland had 3 saves on 4 shots while Wisdom ‘keeper Taylor Hobbs played an exceptional game with 13 saves on 14 shots as the No. 13 Pioneers of St. Agatha finished at 4-11.
