At Pottle Field in Hermon, Sadie Garling scored the lone goal of the game with 18:04 left in the second half to lift the Panthers to the Class B North title with a victory over the Hawks.
Unbeaten Waterville (17-0) will face South champ Yarmouth in Saturday’s 4 p.m. state championship game at Hampden Academy.
Both teams had quality chances in the first half with Hermon edging the Panthers 9-8 in shots. Hermon (16-1) kept the pressure on trying to find the equalizer but Brandon was up to the task, making two incredible saves in the final five minutes.
Megan Chamberlain made 5 saves and T.T. Brandon made 7 saves for Waterville (17-0).
