At Hermon, Abby Burgess scattered three hits, striking out nine and not walking anyone, and Kylie Kennedy had two doubles and two RBIs as Hermon beat Washington Academy of East Machias  11-1 in the first game of a doubleheader.

Burgess had an RBI single.

Brianne Corey tripled and singled for WA and Emily Day singled.
