Valley Boys Soccer 0 at Greenville 2

At Greenville, the Lakers picked up their first win of the season besting the Cavaliers of Valley after both teams battled to a scoreless first-half.
Valley had a chance to score in the second-half when Stone Ellis of Valley took a penalty-kick but was denied by Greenville goalie Howie Stone. The Lakers got on the board when Matt DiAngelo fired in a shot off an Alex Chapman pass 32 minutes into the half. DiAngelo sealed the game with a score off a Connor DiAngelo assist with two minutes remaining.
Goalie Cody Beane made six saves on eight shots for 1-2 Valley and Greenville’s Howie Stone saved 6 of 6 shots.
