FORT KENT, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls Women’s Soccer team (1-10) travelled north to take on the University of Maine at Fort Kent Bengals (11-1-3) on Tuesday afternoon. The number one ranked team in the USCAA would cruise to a 5-0 victory over the Owls.

The Bengals would bombard the Owls defense, putting up 37 shots, 29 of them on goal, as the Owls would get just two shots in the matchup. Sherifatu Sumaila (SR, Tamale, Ghana) would score twice, while Cathernin Bruno (SR, Montreal, Quebec) would be credited with a goal and an assist.

Taylor Howe (SO, Easton, ME) would be under siege all afternoon in net. She would rack up 22 saves for the Owls defense.

UMPI will host Husson tomorrow evening at 3:30 pm. It will be Senior Day for the Owls as it is their last game of the season at Park Family Field.
