SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The surging Southern Maine Community College men’s basketball team won its tenth Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) game in a 114-75 rout of the University of Maine at Augusta at the HUB on Wednesday.
Sophomore Dylan Silvestri (Pelham, N.H.) led all scorers in the game with a career-high 31 points, adding eight rebounds, seven offensive, in 14 minutes of action. Sophomore Ryan Cloutier (Pelham, N.H.) poured in 18, shooting 7-8 from the field. Captain John Morgan (Sanford, Maine), sophomore Keanyon Lambert (Manchester, N.H.), and first-year Anderson Kavutse (Westbrook, Maine) all finished in double figures.
The SeaWolves set new season-highs in total points tallying 114, a field-goal percentage of 55.3, and assists collecting 36. The SMCC bench contributed with 66 points on the way to the team’s fifth consecutive victory.
The SMCC men improve to 10-2 in conference play, and 17-4 overall— trailing only Central Maine Community College in the YSCC North Division standings.
