UNITY, ME – The Owls Women’s Soccer team (1-8) would fall late in a game with the Unity College Rams (6-5-1). After playing to a halftime draw, Unity would go ahead in the second half, and win the game 2-1.
The Rams would take the lead in the 11th minute when freshman Nicole Robitaille would find the back of the net on a penalty kick. The Owls would answer back as Emily Ward (FR, Peterborough, NH) would score her first career goal. The two teams would play to a 1-1 tie at intermission.
UMPI would total four shots on goal for the matchup, but only were able to connect on the one. The Rams would get the game winner in the 61st minute from Jordan Baker (SO, Middleboro, MA). The Owls would fall to 1-8, while the Rams would bump their record up above .500 at 6-5-1.
