Fort Kent, Maine–The University of Maine at Fort Kent women’s basketball team defeated UMaine-Machias 68-25 on Friday night.
The Bengals got off to a blazing start as Madison Fenner hit four first quarter three point field goals. They led 24-6 after one quarter and 33-14 at the half. Fenner hit two more in the second quarter to finish the half with 22 points.
Machias went scoreless in the third quarter as UMFK stretched the lead to 57-14. UMFK hit 42% of their shots and held Machias to just 17% from the floor.
Fenner led UMFK with 22 while Maleini Tanaki and Briana Lampkin each had 14.
