BRUNSWICK, Maine — Morgen Gallagher scored with 1:23 elapsed for the lone goal of the match, giving Bowdoin College a 1-0 victory over the University of New England in non-conference women’s soccer action Tuesday afternoon  at Pickard Field.

The win makes it five in a row for the Polar Bears, who improve to 6-1. UNE suffers its first setback in four matches to drop to 6-2.

Nikki Wilson set-up the marker for Bowdoin, dribbling around multiple Nor’easter defenders before connecting with Gallagher, who pushed a low shot into the goal.

Goalkeeper Brielle Robinson made a couple of great saves to help keep the Nor’easters within striking distance, including a sprawling stop of a shot by Talia Missan with 6:29 remaining in regulation to keep the deficit one. Robinson finished with seven saves.

Anne Parish and Sabrina Albanese combined for two saves in goal for Bowdoin.
