BRISTOL, R.I. — Five different players found the back of the net as the University of New England rolled to a 5-0 result over Roger Williams University in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) field hockey tilt on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 7) at Bayside Field.

The Nor’easters (9-4, 6-1 CCC) are now unbeaten in 11 all-time meetings with the Hawks (4-7, 2-5 CCC).
UNE gained control of the scoreboard in the 11th minute with a marker from Reanna Boulay (Liberty, Maine), and extended the gap in the 24th and 29th as Hannah Buckley (Leominster, Mass.) and Marge Gardiner (East Northport, N.Y.) got into the scoring action.
The visiting squad wasted little time upping the 3-0 halftime margin, courtesy of goals by Olivia Madore (Lyman, Maine) in the 38th minute and then Vonde Saunders (Center Conway, N.H.) just 70 seconds later.
Saunders had two assists for the Nor’easters, who racked up a 31-3 shot advantage. Buckley and Brooke Lemerise (Bartlett, N.H.) also collected helpers.
Liz Sargent (South Burlington, Vt.) was needed for two saves to earn the shutout, while Roger Williams goalie Mya Lunn closed with six stops.
UNE will have little opportunity to rest as No.11 Bowdoin College visits the Big Blue Turf on Sunday (3 p.m.).
