AUBURNDALE, Florida – The Thomas College baseball fell in two games of a doubleheader to Crown (Minn.) on Saturday afternoon at Lake Myrtle Park, 4-3 and 6-4.

After a 1-2-3 first inning from Terrier pitcher Payton Kennison (Livermore, Maine / Cony), the Terriers put a run on the board in the bottom half of the inning on a Jordan Gibson (Marietta, Ga. / Pope) single, scoring Darren Kelly (Foxboro, Mass. / Foxborough).
The Storm answered back with two runs in the second and another in the fifth for a 3-1 lead.
Thomas began to rally in the bottom of the fifth as Derek LeBlanc (Madison, Maine / Madison) led off with a two-out single. Kelly hit a single to right field to move LeBlanc over. As the right fielder threw the ball in, a wild throw allowed LeBlanc to score. Andres Cabrera (Brooksville, Fla. / Hernando) followed up with an RBI single to score Kelly and tie the game at 3-3.
The tie game was short-lived as Crown pushed a run across in the sixth inning. The Terriers went down in order in the final inning to finish the scoring at 4-3.
Kelly finished 3-for-4 at the plate for Thomas scoring two runs while Gibson went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Kennison threw six innings, allowing ten hits and four runs in the loss. Freshman Quinton Stebbins (Farmingdale, Maine / Hall-Dale) threw an inning in relief without giving up a hit
