Sumner Girls Basketball 57 at Piscataquis 72

At Guilford, Delani Bennett had a game-high 25 points in leading the No. 7 Pirates to the victory over No. 10 Sumner in a Class C girls prelim .

Haylee Patterson scored a career-high 14 points for Piscataquis (11-8) while Alex Speed chipped in 12 points and Jordynne Littlefield had 10.

Sumner (7-12) was led by Savana Turner with a team-high 21 points, including 9 in the second-quarter when the Tigers made a run to cut the lead to 4 points at halftime. Jessica West had 11 points and Kendra Barnes chipped in with 10.
