The Eagles’ back line was solid as Gross finished with ten saves, while Nic Pare, Gage Kennedy and Bobby St. Hilaire all played a strong line defense over the duration of the game.

Whitehead led the Eagles with five shots, four of which were on goal. Ian Lee registered four with two on goal. Bean tallied a shot of his own to go along with his 26th career assist to move into sole possession of 11th place all-time.

“I thought the lads responded well after last weekend,” said Husson head coach Gavin Penny. “We certainly showed a lot more passion and great spirit to get back in the game after going one nil down. But it was a game of chances and unfortunately we didn’t take ours tonight which cost us two points.”

For the Huskies Austin Farwell and Nicholas Jordan both had two shots, both of which were on goal. Hulbert recorded 12 saves off 13 shots.

In the early game of the tournament, Castleton and Saint Joseph’s played to a 1-1 draw.
