At Howland, Morgan Moon and Kayla Dube each hit a two-run single in the first inning as the Howlers jumped out to a 5-0 lead against the Wolverines of East Millinocket.
Dube was also the winning pitcher, striking out 15 including the 600th of her four-year career. She walked four and gave up two hits.
Molly McGinn posted a double two singles and an RBI for Penobscot Valley, Moon finished with two singles and three RBIs and Bethany Heald and Arianna McKinnon each slammed a triple.
Ashley Leavitt and Catherine Hale each recorded a single to account for Schenck’s hits.
