STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph’s College (10-4, 4-1 GNAC) toppled Salem State University (1-12, 0-11 LEC), 10-0, in non-conference field hockey action on a soggy Tuesday afternoon at Mercy Field.

Six different Saint Joseph’s players scored in the lopsided victory, as freshman Libby Pomerleau, who tallied three goals and two assists, and senior Kelsey Dumond, who notched two goals and three helpers, leading the offensive barrage.

Saint Joseph’s split time in net, as sophomore Megan Baker was untested in the first half and freshman Kaylin Mansir (Gardiner, Maine) made one stop in the second stanza.
Salem State senior Carolyn Woodin  allowed nine goals during 58:10 between the pipes but made 26 saves – including several of highlight reel quality – in the setback. Freshman Gabriella Cerro allowed one goal with two saves in 11:50 of mop-up duty.
