Penquis Valley Girls Soccer 6 at Piscataquis 6

At Guilford, Jessica Preble’s late second-half goal enabled Penquis of Milo to tie Piscataquis Community High.

Penquis stormed out to a 3-1 first-half lead with Courtney Powers, Rebecca Pierce and Preble doing the scoring. Alex Speed had the the first goal for PCHS.

In the second half, Preble and PCHS’s Mariah Pettit each scored three goals with Alex Speed and Lucinda Wingert adding goals for PCHS.

PCHS erased a 5-2 deficit with four straight goals.

Speed had three assists and Elaine Riitano made nine saves on 13 shots for PCHS.

For Penquis, Jordan Durant had 12 saves on 21 shots.
