At Dexter, Colton Larrabee scored off a Trevor Lyford throw-in for the game winner in overtime to give Penquis the victory over the Tigers. Lyford finished with two goals and an assist to spark the Pats of Milo.
Cervonte Johnson scored unassisted and then fed Lyford on a corner kick to stake the Patriots to a 2-0 halftime lead. Dexter answered in the second half with goals from Aaron Perkins and Devan Gudroe, with Bryce Sweet and Bailey Spack assisting.
Lyford broke a 2-2 tie on an unassisted goal with 16:00 left in the game. Spack answered two minutes later off a Nathan Robichaud assist to tie the score at 3-3 and setting the stage for Larrabee’s goal in overtime.
Goalkeeper Derek Thomas made 6 saves on 12 shots for 3-4-1 Penquis Valley and Josh Smith made 8 saves on 14 shots for Dexter (1-7).
