At Thorndike, the Red Riots rolled up 442 total yards on the way to the victory in an LTC season opener.
Keenan Collette was a workhorse, leading the Riots offense and defense. The senior running back amassed 157 yards on 27 carries scoring twice on runs of 1 and 4 yards.
Collette was also a favorite target for senior quarterback Jackson Coutts. Coutts passed for 103 yards on 18 attempts and connected with Collette five times including scoring strikes of 4 and 11 yards.
Coutts also hit senior tight end Sam Honey on a 30-yard scoring strike. Matt Fowler added a 2-point conversion and Coutts kicked two PATs to round out the scoring.
Honey also had an impressive defensive afternoon with an interception and a 1-on-1 touchdown-saving tackle on a kickoff return as the first half expired.
Mount View had a good offensive day with 331 total yards of offense.
Senior fullback Darrin Cook lead the Mustang rushers and scorers with 113 yards and two TDs on 13 carries. Cook had touchdowns runs of 1 and 44 yards.
Mount View senior Colby Furrow accumulated 146 yards of total offense and scored on 44-yard pass from Junior QB Rayno Boivin.
Boivin passed 8 times for 118 yards .
Furrow was perfect on all three PAT attempts to round out the scoring for the Mustangs. Junior linebacker Matt Keating totaled 11 tackles to pace the defense.
