Orono Football 30 at Dexter 8

At Dexter on Saturday, Orono amassed 515 total yards in the win as senior running back Cameron Mowrer led the split T attack with 225 yards on 23 carries, a touchdown and a two-point PAT rush. His twin brother Christian chipped in 162 yards on 16 carries with a touchdown.

Christian Mowrer got the Riots rolling with a 16-yard scamper with 3:23 left in the first,  Cam Mowrer rushed for the conversion. Collin Clement bulled in for a 6-yard score and Lewis Hansen’s PAT rush pushed the lead to 16-0 at the end of the first. Cameron Mowrer added an 8-yard TD run with 1:52 left in the half for a 22-0 lead.

In the fourth, Dexter’s Trevor Fogarty hit Zac White with a 25-yard TD pass and threw a two-point conversion pass to Matt Bartlett.

Orono then recovered the onsides kick and found the end zone three plays later when Lewis Hansen scored from 14 yards out. Clement added a conversion rush.

Both teams are now 3-3.
