At Union Street Complex in Bangor, Rachel Martin pounded a triple and three singles and had two RBIs and scored three times as the Coyotes blanked the Crusaders.
Brittany Cousins added a triple, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored for Old Town (3-0). Winning pitcher Kendra Hayward struck out 11 in five innings, walked three and didn’t give up a hit. Kayla Madden finished up with three strikeouts, a walk and gave up a hit.
Kristian Kenney hit a single for John Bapst (0-2). Katie Hammond struck out four and walked two.
