At Gardiner, Olivia Reny scored on a breakaway with just under three minutes left in the first overtime to lift Gardiner to a 2-1 win against Old Town in an Eastern Maine Class B Tournament prelim game Saturday.

Reny scored Gardiner’s first goal, putting in a rebound off a penalty corner in the first half.

The Coyotes tied the game in the second half when Joci St.Jean poked in a rebound.

The teams each had 11 shots on goal and both goalies, Gardiner’s Olvia Philbrook and Old Town’s Erica Ogden, made nine saves.

The Tigers held a 17-12 advantage in penalty corners.

Ninth-seeded Old Town finishes at 9-5-1 while No. 8 Gardiner (10-5) advances to play top-seeded Belfast in a quarterfinal game Wednesday.
