At Blue Hill on Thursday night, Motor City connected for 11 hits and received a stellar pitching performance from right-hander Ethan Stoddard to earn the victory.
Stoddard gave up just five hits over 7 1/3 innings and struck out four. He aided his own cause in the third inning with a two-run home run over the left-field fence and also added two singles and scored three runs.
DJ Monteith came into relief and weathered a late charge by the Acadians to earn the save. Parker Walker and Tyler Young contributed two singles apiece and Billy Phillips and Sam Southwick each doubled.
The Acadians were led by Connor McGuire, who singled and scored twice, and Stefan Simmons, who notched two singles.
